Infrastructure and delivering the industrial strategy - take our short survey

Infrastructure Intelligence and leading infrastructure legal practice Burges Salmon are teaming up to canvass the views of the industry to find out how the public and private sectors will collaborate to deliver the government’s industrial strategy.

Infrastructure is absolutely central to the successful delivery of the UK's industrial strategy. Many industry bodies and think tanks have been promoting the importance of good infrastructure as being a key driver of the economy and arguing for a longer-term approach.

A report by the respected Industrial Strategy Commission recently concluded that the government’s industrial strategy should commit to providing Universal Basic Infrastructure – the idea that all citizens in all places should be served by a good standard of physical infrastructure and have access to high quality and universal health and education services.

The Infrastructure Intelligence/Burges Salmon survey looks at how the public and private sectors can work together to ensure that the government’s industrial strategy is delivered effectively.

Key questions covered in the survey include: -

  • Who should invest more in UK infrastructure?
  • Who should be responsible for the delivery and progress of infrastructure projects?
  • Which skills must be improved to overcome the skills gap and how can we achieve this?
  • How can we improve regional productivity differences?
  • How effective is the supply chain at collaborating?

The short survey will take five minutes to complete and your opinions will be included in a report which will be published later this year.
