Mott MacDonald monitoring construction of five French wind farms

The construction of five French wind farms will benefit from Mott MacDonald’s technical advice on projects which are due to be commissioned from the end of this year.

Mott MacDonald is lenders’ technical advisor to CIC and Auxifip during the development of five wind farms in France.

The 33MW Inter Deux Bos, 20MW Hauts de Comble and 23MW Sources de l'Ancre wind farms are located in the north of France. Meanwhile, the 26MW Côteaux du Blaiseron is in the east of the country and the 10MW Le Pelon in the west. Combined they will be capable of producing 112MW of renewable energy.

Mott MacDonald performed technical due diligence to help the portfolio achieve financial close. The consultancy is currently conducting construction monitoring services for each wind farm, including providing monthly memos, drawdown certificate issuance, quarterly construction reports and a completion validation report.

Sébastien Sandmark, Mott MacDonald’s project director, said: “Our technical expertise and reassurance to the lenders throughout the financing phase, plus ongoing diligent reporting during construction, have been vitally important during the financing and construction phases of these wind farms."

Construction of each of the projects is underway, with commissioning scheduled from the end of 2018 through 2019.
