AECOM wins place on Irish Water framework

AECOM has won a place on Irish Water’s seven-year engineering design services framework.

AECOM has won a place on Irish Water’s engineering design services framework to support delivery of the utility’s capital investment plan over the next seven years.

The company will support Irish Water in the development, design, planning, construction and management of its assets. Safety, quality and sustainability will be central as projects are developed in collaboration with stakeholders, with certainty of cost and time, and with social value enhanced through the provision of training and local employment.

Services will include safety, investigations and feasibility studies, design, planning, environmental, sustainability, programme and project management, site supervision and multi-disciplinary engineering including process, mechanical electrical instrumentation controls and automation (MEICA), civil, structural and geotechnical.

David McCune, director, AECOM Water Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our successful relationship with Irish Water and look forward to supporting the delivery of resilient and sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure, throughout Ireland, in the years ahead. Our organisations have shared core values and our aligned approach to safety culture, collaborative working, quality and customer care will be vital as we tackle future challenges.

“Through this framework, AECOM will support Irish Water as it continues to enhance its asset base to meet future demands and facilitate development. Optimised decision-making will be critically important in delivering appropriate outcomes and value for Irish Water’s customers. Investment in infrastructure to drive growth will be a key part of the strategy for Ireland’s economic recovery from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. AECOM will apply its expertise in support of that strategy to benefit the local communities in which we live and operate.”
