An Infrastructure Intelligence Live In the Spotlight Interview on Wednesday 30 November 2022 will feature HS2 CEO Mark Thurston, who will talk about the challenge of delivering the major rail project that will link up London, the Midlands, the north and Scotland serving over 25 stations, including eight of Britain’s ten largest cities and connecting around 30 million people.

Thurston joined High Speed Two (HS2) as CEO in March 2017 and has more than 25 years’ experience in project and programme management. He has worked in both the public and private sectors on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. As managing director for Europe at CH2M, he spent a significant amount of time in leadership roles on major programmes, including three years as strategic projects director on Crossrail.

Prior to this he was programme delivery manager on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where he led the Power Lines Under Grounding project and the £500m structures, bridges and highways programme.

His insights on major infrastructure planning and delivery should be well worth listening to in what should be a fascinating and enlightening interview.
