Time running out to enter ACE Awards

It's time to enter the ACE Awards - with just two weeks to go until the August 25 deadline.

The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) is still receiving nominations from champions of the industry and their peers, ahead of a glittering event that is set to take place in London in January 2024.

The Consultancy and Engineering Awards 2023 celebrates the outstanding achievements of our industry and rewards excellence in people, projects and companies from the world of engineering, consultancy and the built environment.

Nominations for the 12 award categories are open until Friday, August 25 at 6pm - and the online process has been further simplified this year, making it even easier to enter.

ACE shone the spotlight on champions across industry at the 2022 awards, which were held in January this year after a two-year absence. 

More than 300 people attended the event to showcase all that is good about the built environment sector. 

The full list of 2023 categories include: Best UK Consultancy (micro)Best UK Consultancy (small), Best UK Consultancy (medium)Best UK Consultancy (large)Best Sustainability ProjectBest Innovation and Technology Project, Best Transport Project, Best Social Value Project, Emerging Professional of the YearApprentice of the YearInclusive Employer of the Year (including People First Charter) and Lifetime Achievement.

ACE member Mott MacDonald was the big winner at the 2022 awards.

Shortlisted six times, it won two awards for the company – Best International Project for its work on the BIM Pathfinder project with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Best Transport Project for its work for Crossrail on the Elizabeth Line. In addition, Caroline Reeson was named Emerging Professional of the Year.  

Other 2022 award wins included Best digital project which was awarded to WSP for its work creating immersive virtual designs at Old Oak Common for HS2, best social value project to AECOM for its work on the Northumberland Line, and Best Net Zero project to Waterman Group for its materials passport approach.

Winners of this year’s awards will be announced at an in-person evening event at Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
