Get the lowdown on securing business information and trade secrets

Consultancy, engineering and environmental firms will get the lowdown on the steps they need to take to protect confidential information and business secrets at a special in-person event in London in March.

The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) and Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) are holding a special member-only in-person HR forum event in London on Tuesday 15 March 2022 at 11.30am where hosts, HR legal experts Bird & Bird, will present on Business Protection in a Covid-impacted world

Partner Tim Spillane and associate Rob Briggs will explore why it’s becoming increasingly important to protect an organisation's confidential information and trade secrets. Designed for HR professionals and SME business leaders, the session will delve into the practical steps that can be taken with new hires, existing employees and when offboarding. In addition, the event will explore post-termination restrictive covenants and offer tips for dealing with employees and former employees who breach their obligations.

Tim Spillane, partner at Bird & Bird said: “We’re delighted to host ACE and EIC members in London for what will be a vital session, exploring an increasingly important area of HR. With organisations across the board facing higher staff turnover and increasing use of contractors, securing businesses’ confidential information and trade secrets has never been more timely.”

Claire Clifford, director of people, skills and culture at ACE and EIC, added: “This promises to be a fascinating session. Whether HR professional or SME business leader, there will be plenty of practical tips that you can take back into your organisation. I’m also looking forward to holding our first in-person meeting since the beginning of the pandemic. It has been a while, but with faces together in a room I am sure the session will be naturally collaborative, delivering even more value for attendees.”

Places are limited for this in-person event taking place in London and is open to anyone working for an ACE or EIC member company. Book early to avoid disappointment.
