Age is no barrier!

Free ACE roundtable on 22 February set to explore ageism in the workplace.

Ageism in the workplace is the subject of a keenly-anticipated online roundtable on Wednesday 22 February.

Part of Building Inclusivity, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) cross-industry ED&I campaign, Age is no Barrier is the first in a brand-new series of the campaign’s online events in 2023.

The campaign is set to explore a range of hot topics throughout the coming year, including overcoming ageism, disability, gender, and the socio-economic barriers to more welcoming workplaces.

Set in an informal online setting, the roundtables aim to inform and inspire, allowing people and HR professionals, business leaders and team managers to take positive steps towards improving inclusivity in their own organisations.

The online events, which in the spirit of the campaign are free and open to all – ACE members and non-members alike – will bring together subject matter experts and lived experiences from across the industry..

Claire Clifford, ACE’s director of people, culture and skills, said: “Age is No Barrier explores ageism in the workplace and how we can overcome unconscious and conscious bias against those who are viewed as being either too old or too young.

“We have some excellent and insightful industry experts lined up to speak, and we’re looking forward to a very positive event.”

Hosted by Claire Clifford, panellists confirmed so far include Jennifer Williamson (Cundall) from ACE's Emerging Professionals, Ross Warne (AECOM), Bill Peak (Keltbray Group), Dr Sue Pember (HOLEX), and Emmanuel Afolabi of Fest Hub.

Age is no Barrier: Wednesday 22 February, 12pm. FREE.
