Milestone Infrastructure wins contract extension with Hampshire Council

Milestone Infrastructure’s highways services contract with Hampshire County Council extended.

Milestone Infrastructure has had its highway services contract with Hampshire County Council extended for five years.

Part of M Group Services, Milestone will continue its collaborative partnership with the county council, operating as Hampshire Highways.

Since 2017, Milestone has delivered over £350m of highway services for the benefit of local communities and businesses in the county.

The next six years will see Hampshire Highways continuing to develop a joint approach to reducing carbon with a target of 40% reduction in carbon intensity by 2025 and 60% by 2030.

Simon Watson, business director for Milestone Infrastructure in Hampshire, said: “The collaborative approach we take working as Hampshire Highways has provided resilience to the service through some difficult times and this puts us in a strong position to now reinvest in the service over an extended period to 2029.

“Milestone is committed to building on the excellent service already delivered in Hampshire and our focus is to continue to make great strides in carbon reduction and investing further in the county’s highway network as well as local communities.”

Milestone has an established reputation as a service provider of choice in the local authority market. Highway maintenance contracts in Oxfordshire, Devon and Peterborough have all renewed in the last year.
