Scots infrastructure secretary to speak at ACE parliamentary reception this week

New cabinet secretary for infrastructure, investment and cities for the Scottish government Keith Brown will be outlining his agenda at the ACE Scotland 2015 parliamentary reception on Wednesday (28 January).

Brown has been the country’s transport minister since 2010 and has been overseeing a concerted investment of billions of pounds in Scottish infrastructure including closing the deal with private sector consortium Aberdeen Roads for the £550M Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie-Tipperty project at the end of last year

Also attending will be Transport Scotland’s head of planning and design, major transport infrastructure projects David Anderson.

The event takes place in the Members Room of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh from 6pm to 8pm and is open to all ACE members.

“This is a great opportunity for ACE members to meet Keith Brown and hear what he has to say,” said ACE Scotland Manager Susan Hanley. “Members will also be able to find out more about the work we are doing on their behalf. We are currently involved in raising awareness of our members concerns and shaping reform with key government bodies such as HubCos, Scottish Futures Trust, the Procurement Implementation Review Board, Transport Scotland and more."
