BOOK NOW for Friday webinar on "After Covid-19 - a boost for Net Zero?"

An Infrastructure Intelligence free live webinar on Friday 3 July, as part of our 'Covid Recovery' series.

The latest webinar in Infrastructure Intelligence's "Covid recovery" series of events will be looking at the hot topic of net zero and the prospects for achieving it, post-pandemic.

Of late, there have been increasing calls for the economic stimulus packages being devised by governments around the world post-Covid to be climate aware, so that the increase in emissions that was seen following the 2008 global financial crisis is not repeated.

During the current unprecedented period, leaders have an opportunity to revise their climate plans to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon economy, yet Boris Johnson's speech this week on infrastructure investment was high on rhetoric but distinctly light on specific measures to tackle the climate crisis.

More than ever though, this crisis has shown that concerted international effort is possible in the face of a global threat to human life and there are now calls for a renewed and remodelled commitment to achieving a zero-carbon economy.

This webinar, which is brought to you in association with Infrastructure Intelligence Net Zero Hub sponsor Atkins, will look at the prospects for concerted action on climate change and discuss whether the Covid-19 crisis has reframed the debate around this crucial issue.
