BOOK NOW: New series of Coming Out of Covid webinars starts this Friday, 29 May.

The first of a brand new weekly series of Coming Out of Covid webinars takes place this Friday, 29 May, with leading industry figures setting the pace by asking: ‘What is the new normal for construction?’

The summer season of new free Friday morning webinars, hosted by Infrastructure Intelligence editor Andy Walker, has seen a hugely popular reaction since being announced last week, with bookings already soaring for the five webinars in the diary so far.

And industry professionals can still book their place on this Friday’s keenly-anticipated webinar, which features a top line-up of guest speakers including Hannah Vickers, chief executive, ACE; Matt Blackwell, digital operations director, Costain; Mark Coates, strategic industry engagement director (UK/Ireland), Bentley Systems, and Georgia Hughes, Arcadis and chair of ACE Emerging Professionals.

Looking forward to this Friday’s webinar, Walker said: “The coronavirus crisis has affected every business sector, both at the height of the pandemic and also as industries and businesses begin to emerge from its worst effects. With business as usual no longer an option and with a commercial and societal landscape significantly changed, this first webinar will examine what the new normal for a construction industry will look like – something that is likely to be radically different from what it was before.

“It’s clear from all the feedback from the industry that the construction and infrastructure sector will be working differently in the future as staff come to terms with working in a post-Covid world. Increased remote working, economic uncertainty, ongoing concerns over health and safety, flexible work patterns, a shrinking work pipeline and other issues will all have an effect on firms’ activity,” said Walker.
