Webinar series starts with event on new normal for construction

Infrastructure Intelligence is launching a new ‘Coming out of Covid’ webinar series to help the construction sector grapple with the key issues as the UK enters the latest stage in the fight against the coronavirus.

The free webinar series will kick off with an event entitled “With the easing of the lockdown, what is the new normal for construction? on Friday 29 May 2020 at 11am. The webinar series will run throughout June, with a further four events all taking place on a Friday starting at 11am. Full details of these will be announced in Thursday’s Infrastructure Intelligence e-news.

Commenting on the webinar series, Infrastructure Intelligence editor Andy Walker said: “The coronavirus crisis has had a significant impact on every business sector and we wanted to help the industry as it emerges slowly from its worst effects. With business as usual no longer an option and with a commercial and societal landscape significantly changed, this webinar will examine what the new normal for the construction industry will look like as the lockdown restrictions are eased."

Walker continued: “Future events in our webinar series will focus on the role of infrastructure investment in economic recovery, building industry resilience, changing business models and communications in a new digital landscape. We hope that these webinars will help to inform the industry and prepare construction businesses for what is to come as the sector comes out of Covid and prepares to face up to an industry and business landscape that is set to be somewhat different from the one we had just over two months ago.”
