ACE places job advert for vacant CEO role

Efforts to find a new chief executive for the Association for Consultancy (ACE) were stepped up this week as the organisation advertised the vacant role and engaged an executive search agency.

The post, to replace outgoing CEO Hannah Vickers, will attract a six-figure salary and benefits package and be located in the UK with regular travel involved. ACE represents around 400 member firms that employ 100,000 staff providing design, engineering, technical and environmental consultancy services in the built and natural environment. ACE’s members include major global companies, as well as small and medium firms from across the UK.

The new CEO will be accountable for implementing ACE’s three-year corporate plan published earlier in 2021 and will work with the board to further build ACE’s reputation as a credible and influential voice on topics as varied as post-pandemic recovery, net zero, building back better and regional levelling up.

In its recruitment advert, ACE said: “This is a high-profile role requiring a mixture of leadership with an entrepreneurial flair, diplomacy and tact with a commercial edge, an ability to invest in and develop people whilst balancing the books in a not-for-profit environment and above all requires a passion for its members’ work.”

Those interested in the role can arrange a confidential conversation with ACE’s retained consultants Jim Newsom on 020 3026 3871 or Paul Neave on 020 3026 3873 at Newsom Consulting. Applicants can also send an up-to-date CV and covering letter directly to Jim Newsom at jn@newsomconsulting.co.uk
