John Laing appoints head of sustainability

Sandrine Lalmant joins John Laing Group as head of sustainability.

John Laing Group has appointed Sandrine Lalmant as head of sustainability. 

She brings 11 years of experience in sustainability-related roles, including most recently in the responsible investment team of Triton Partners, the private equity firm. 

Prior to Triton, she worked at the investment arm of the Universities Superannuation Scheme. 

Lalmant will be based in London. 

John Laing, an international investor and active manager of core infrastructure assets, has a long track record of investing in clean energy, transport and social infrastructure.

Warren Lee, chief investment officer of John Laing, said: “This appointment underlines our commitment to sustainable investment in infrastructure. 

“Sandrine has a track record of managing sustainability risks and opportunities across the investment lifecycle and has worked for recognised sustainability leaders in private markets.” 

Separately, John Laing announced that it has joined the initiative Climat International, a group of leading global private market organisations focused on climate action. 

John Laing will join forces with 212 investors representing over US$3.4 trillion in assets under management to reduce carbon emissions of portfolio companies and contribute to the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
