Cundall appoint Kevin Hayes as managing partner in London

Cundall appoint Kevin Hayes as managing partner in London.

Cundall has appointed Kevin Hayes as managing partner of its London office, taking over from Steve Cook, who is moving into a financial management role overseeing Cundall’s global business whilst continuing his project involvement in London.

In his 16 years at the helm, Cook has taken Cundall’s London team from 140 to 240 staff. He has also been instrumental in Cundall’s growth into sustainability, data centres, health and wellbeing and smart buildings.

Hayes joined Cundall as a senior engineer in 1997. He became a partner eight years ago and has been working closely with Cook to lead the London office, recently representing the office on Cundall’s UK and Ireland management board.

Steve Cook, outgoing managing partner, said: “My time as Cundall’s London managing partner has been hugely rewarding and I’ve been privileged to lead it at a time when the business has gone from strength to strength and experienced a huge amount of growth. Kevin and I have worked closely together for several years, and I know he will continue to lead the London team to new levels of success.”

Kevin Hayes, incoming managing partner, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity and I am delighted to take over the leadership of such a talented team. Over the last few years, I have been fortunate to work alongside Steve as he has managed the London office and watched it grow under his leadership. I look forward to the challenge and opportunities ahead as we take the London business into a new era.”

Tomás Neeson, global managing partner, Cundall, said: “This is a new chapter in the ongoing development of our business. We have a fantastic team in London and Kevin has grown within it to the point of picking up the reins from Steve. We are very fortunate as a partnership to work in a global team of partners who know each other well and have developed the practice together. I am looking forward to supporting Kevin along with the rest of our partners and the London team as we continue the Cundall story.”
