Corporate social responsibility
We’re extremely aware of our responsibilities towards the people living and working in the community around us, and are delighted to support Better Bankside, Water Aid, Bankside Open Spaces Trust and Beormund Primary School – all incredible organisations and institutions. All of our employees are encouraged to actively participate in our Community Days programme in helping out in the local community, we sponsor university students and we are members of the Technician Apprenticeship Consortium.
Green credentials
We take our environmental impact seriously and all our greenhouse gas emissions are disclosed in our annual report and are broken down by scope and region. We’ve taken emissions data from a variety of sources – from supplier invoices to meter readings and our employees’ travel – and then, using standard conversion factors, turned them into CO2 equivalents. We’re constantly improving the systems we use to capture this data so that they improve and are more accurate.
